Hello, Red Carpet!

Hello, my dear readers. Last night, the Z Factor crew (except for a few who couldn't make it) walked across the Red Carpet to the University of Northwestern's Emerging Filmmaker's Contest. We had made a film during the summer and submitted it to the festival, competing with seven other young filmmakers for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, as well as Audience Choice Award.

Though it brings me no joy to say we won neither of those awards, we did receive many "Congratulations" and well wishes from the judges and faculty members at the event. They all seemed to really like our film! The winners rightly deserved their awards, for they did a very good job; I was impressed. We didn't win anything physically, but we won pride and strength in having presented our film to others publicly to be judged before an audience, as well as gained experience of what to expect in future film festivals. It was also so much fun dressing up and attending the event with each other. This photo of us together brings a smile to my face. It will be a night I shall always treasure and remember, as the night of our first film festival.

We are greatly enthusiastic and eager to get to work on our next projects, knowing the fierce competition we shall face next time. Competition is a good thing, it strives us to do better than we might have done otherwise. One of the ways we can continue to do better is through the support of our friends and family. Please share our videos to everyone you know, comment if you have something to say, whether it be constructive criticism or a compliment, and subscribe to our channel to get all our latest content!

Thank you,
